Surgery
Today, I went in for surgery to remove my wisdom teeth. I had all four of them removed. I have never had surgery or IV anesthesia. The IV didn’t hurt; it was just uncomfortable. They got it in my elbow on the first time. When they put in the medicine after a few seconds the ceiling started to shift up and down like sliding panels. Then I was gone; I don’t even know how it happened. When I woke up I felt ok. I was able to walk to the car. I wobbled from side to side a little, but not too much. I was giddy when I woke up and very talkative in the car, giggling occasionally. After I got home the anesthesia wore off and it started to hurt. I’ve been bleeding quite continuously, but it’s finally starting to slow down. I’m taking Vicodin, but it’s not too effective. I don’t really notice much of difference. Maybe I will tomorrow. I can’t wait until I can finally control my drooling again.
College: Year 2
Ok, so today is the third day of classes for me. Everything looks as though it’s going to be a challenging semester. I have 15 hours which is 5 classes. Management and Accounting look to be the hardest ones, meaning they will just have a lot of work and effort put into them. Information Management is going to awesome! That is what I’m probably going to change my major to. Economics and Psychology look to be just your regular read the chapter and take the exam classes.
One thing that hasn’t been so great is that I can only work 2 hours a day at my current job, because of the travel. I may have to get a different job sooner that I thought.
Tomorrow, I am going in for oral surgery to remove all four of my wisdom teeth. Two are coming in sideways and the other two are twisted really badly. Because of this I will be missing Thursday and Friday’s classes. Fortunately, I’ve talked with all of my professors and I shouldn’t miss much. I’ll just have to get notes from a classmate when I return on Monday. Now is better than later when they might really hurt badly in the middle of finals.
The Current Situation
Everything right now is surreal. I’m slightly sick with a sinus infection, so that is distorting my perception of reality. I get tired more frequently, I’m really hungry when it’s time to eat yet I can’t eat as much as I used to, and I ache somewhat. My mood for the past couple of weeks has been off too. I just don’t want to do anything, not even the stuff that I really enjoy in a normal situation.
I just found a video blogger on YouTube that I’m really liking his stuff. He’s 79, I think.. (don’t quote me). His username is geriatric1927. You might want to go watch his videos. I like hearing the personal storys of people older than I am. I like to hear what life was like when they were younger. I find it all very interesting. Maybe you would too. I hope I can be helpful to someone when I’m older and have more experience.
Texas A&M Sophomore
It’s that time of year again. School is starting up and I’m just about to finish summer school and start the fall semester. I’ll finally be a sophomore at Texas A&M!
Update: I’m officially a sophomore with a 4.0!
