Registration
Texas A&M is pissing me off.
First, we have registrations coming up. I got an email saying that my registration date was April 20th and I’d have to take honors courses when I signed up on that date. Normally, they will give you an honors registration date and a date to register if you don’t want any honors courses. Well, I didn’t get a “normal” registration date, only the honors date. I’m not taking honors courses at the moment and I don’t know if I will in the fall. I didn’t know what to do; there was no date for me to register without honors. So I called and email the Office of the Registrar and they straightened everything out. I will register for regular classes on the 20th.
Second, I’m trying to change majors to Information and Operations Management in the business school. So, this morning I rode my bike over to the Wehner building on West Campus to go talk to an academic adviser. I arrive and no one is there, so I go back over to main campus. This afternoon I called to set up an appointment so I could actually talk to someone. The lady I spoke to said that because I was not majored in the Mays Business School I could not make an appointment, I would have to walk in next week!!! Argh! They make changing majors so difficult here.
